Konark NAC was constituted in accordance with Govt. in H. & U.D. Notification No.53072/HUD dt.17.12.1983 consisting of 13 wards. Konark NAC, the place of world famous Sun Temple, located in the district of Puri, is one of the three points of “the Golden Triangle of Tourism” in our state, the other two are Bhubaneswar , the city of temple and Puri the above of Sri Jagannath. Konark NAC distance from Bhubaneswar is 65 K.M. from and from Puri is 32 K.M. It is an International tourist place. This NAC is a total area of 8670 sqm.    More..

EXECUTIVE OFFICER'S MESSAGE :

Konark NAC has take decision to take four mega project i.e. construction of Bus terminal at Konark Bus stand. Construction of Kalyan Mandap, Construction of 100 nos. of vending Zone for street vendors and open drain of market area will cover c.c. slab. Konark is the World famous Tourist place of Puri District. More than around 2000 to 3000 of tourist come to Konark daily from out side of Odisha. Some steps has been taken to clean the peripheral of Konark area through service providers. Work has started on dt.01.09.2016. Awareness also creats among the public not to use polythene and kept all the garbage in the dustbin and holiday tax paid regularly. Awareness creates to stop open defication.

CHAIRPERSON'S MESSAGE :

Konark area has a vast potential for groth as a major tourist complex. It is an international tourist place. Daily more than thousands of tourists ate congregating here to enjoy the ancient architectural monuments of the Sun Temple and seashore as well as the Sunrise at Chandrabhaga. Considering the importance of the place and to attract the tourists coming from all over the World, the Government have decided to make this international tourist Place to a small town, by taking some revenue village around the Sun Temple.
